Chargers, Shmargers

Monday, September 30th, 2002

Just a bit disappointed at yesterday’s game. Hard to believe it was only a seven-point loss — what with all the mistakes and busted plays it felt like a complete rout.

Allow me to be a good loser for a second and say the Chargers played well, and they deserve the win. Damn them.

I’ll only feel better if the Redskins keep up their losing streak. Hee hee! Too bad they had a bye week, I could use some instant gratification. Oh, wait! This will do. And if you’re wondering, to the best of my knowledge Nick Novak is not a relation.

I got your rrrrrriots right here

Once again, the suburban kids with nothing better to do proved (have proven?) how completely ineffectual they are at making themselves heard. Also once again, I believe they’re scared of the weather.

Say what you will about the state of our environment, but it seems to rain consistently on IMF/World Bank protest days. Bob Ryan should make a note of that in his almanac.

until Oktoberfest! (Your actual number of seconds may vary.) Yes, it’s that time of year, meine Damen und Herren. Oversized pretzels and salted white radishes! From tomorrow through October 6, the city of Munich will be overrun with tourists, much like DC in Cherry Blossom time, only they’ll be more drunk. And they’ll have more Aussies per capita. Honest. You can’t throw a boomerang in the beer tent without striking one upside the head. Lest that’s how it used to be. Fair dinkum.

Anyway, trust those Deutschlanders to have a nice website for the Fest.

I miss Germany.

I just…I can’t…I just can’t put into words how stupid some people can be. So let this little IM transcript do the talking.

Okay, okay, it’s the name that intrigued me, yes. But when I got there, it turns out there was actually some damned entertaining stuff to read that I happen to agree with.

So go, go! Read! Shooh!
