Better Living Through Introspection

a blog about nothing in particular and everything in-between

Happy Anniv–ah, what the hell.

April 26th, 2004

So, we missed our creation date anniversary by a few weeks. Oopsie. If you care to know, I registered this site in March of 2000. Hard to believe it’s been around that long.

Reading some of my original posts, I think, “What’s this crap, and who’s this guy?” Ditto today in four years, no doubt. But, I admire the spirit of the letter, if not the craft. Apparently, I had some reason for starting this site.

It’s not that I’ve come so far, it’s just the design has changed so many times.

Ah. Anyway. Here’s the good stuff I’ve been meaning to catch you up on:

Sleeves Original Tattoo’d Clothing. The only clothing that gives you the illusion of tatoos.

Women Against Bush. Fun, fashionable, fed-up women whose bras are too attractive to burn. Prefer brunching to brow-beating, but willing to throw their cocktails in the face of oppression, sexism and the lies that make up “compassionate conservatism.”

Squibnocket. Purveyors of stuff you could probably do without. (Okay, so their site hasn’t launched, I’ve been waiting patiently for months…but their click-through apology is amusing enough, and will give you some indication of why their cards are so damn amusing.)

Frank Goes To Japan. I work with Frank. He takes decent pictures. Recently, he went to Japan. Hilarity and good photos ensued. Enjoy.

GNOVIS. I meant to link to this, oh, well over a year ago, when I had friends who were actually in Georgetown’s Communication, Culture, and Technology Program. Better late than never, there’s still some interesting stuff to read.

No link for this one, just some final thoughts. Jack Valenti is shorter in person than you might expect. Ditto Joe Lieberman. Sam Donaldson, however, seems taller. Colin Powell, happily, exactly as you think. They were at the Kennedy Center Gala last night. None of them waved hi to me. I was in the cheap seats, of course.
