Christmas Light Run

Wednesday, November 30th, 2005

Speaking of Union Station, the fourth annual Christmas Light Run is coming up. According to the site, crazy people (my words) who want to run in full-on Santa gear are being sought. So if that’s you, stop on by…

Something new on the Google as next evil empire front: Google Base. From their about page:

1. Why should I use Google Base?

If you have information you want to share with others, but aren’t sure how to go about gaining an audience, Google Base is for you.

If you don’t have your own website, we’ll host your content for you. You’ll be able to choose labels and attributes that can draw more attention to the content you’re showing. And, based on their relevance, your items may appear on Google, Froogle, or Google Local.

Google Base is free. Plus you’re always in control – you can edit or archive your items at any time.

Enjoy. (Burgers optional.)

Why I Love DC (Reason No.5)

Monday, November 21st, 2005

XM Radio. So, as the satellite radio wars heat up (and the holiday shopping season approaches), I’d like to take a moment to remind you that XM Radio is based here in Washington, DC. To make matters more exciting, their competition is based in city we love to hate, so if you’re considering a satellite radio purchase, take one for the home team. Nevermind the fact that the hardware is cool and the programming kicks ass.

I might add that I have a Delphi XM MyFi™ and I love it. As much as I love channels 44, 80, 81, and 82. Now if only they had an associates program so I could get paid for my love.
