It was required reading back in the day. Her work, which glorifies the self and excellence of achievement, could be seen as soulless. There is little room for compassion in her paradigm of society. But that is refreshing in a way; wouldn't it be wonderful if everyone, including government, kept out of your business and kept their eye on their own? At least her work places responsibility on one's life where it belongs - with the individual. In an age where all misfortune is someone else's fault, a little Ayn Rand is a splash of cold water in sentiment's face.

As I mentioned over in an IB thread, it's tempting, but 16GB just doesn't cut it... I would love to upgrade my old 3G 40GB iPod, but the choices are the Classic, which has the storage but not the screen space, or the Touch, which has (maybe) the screen & coolness (& web browsing features), but not enough storage. If you're stuck with reduced storage anyhow, maybe trying to nab a 4GB iPhone at $299 could be worthwhile; all the cool interface, and a phone, too! Now, I certainly wouldn't complain if someone got me a Touch (hint?), but I don't think I can quite justify dropping the cash on it... Might have to wait for a 2G Touch.

I've also looked at the specs on an Archos 605 wifi... that has some pretty sweet specs, but is a rather bulkier device. Has a decent 4.3" 800x480 display, though, while I think the Touch/iPhone is 480x320? Of course, then you sacrifice iTunes integration... though I have to jump through hoops for iTunes anyhow (my Mac is not my primary machine).

I don't think any of the UMPC or similar class devices have a 'music player mode', that would probably be the ideal... Then you could get a full-fledged computer OS that you can work with, not the restricted stuff on the iPhone, while having a low-power music mode...

Starting to ramble now, must stop! :-p

Or, you could just buy all your DVDs, and not be chained to a NetFlix queue... :-p
(Mind you, there are other problems with that; for example, I'm pretty much out of shelf space now...)

Old-school Seinfeld riff has him talking about eating cookies as an adult. Why? "Because I can. I want a cookie, I have a cookie." Or something like that.

But apparently not what was going through your head...I'll shut up now.

No reference intended (not sure I get it), just a literal statement in an attempt to answer the inevitable "Why in the world would you create this table?"

Kettle has a Bakes Preztel Chip "Fully Loaded" which I really like. I tried their Bakes Potato Chips (plain), which taste OK, but have too many sharp edges, not so fun to eat.

It's a never-ending quest...Actually, it'll probably end when I drive myself crazy trying to perfect the technique. Thanks for stopping by, Gert!

This is just a little too, um...let's go with outside of my skill set...for me. Glad to see you are doing well in your quest for spherification.
See ya, Gert
